New for this year – The Åredraget Sprint! 🐾

Åredraget keeps growing, and this year we’re excited to introduce something brand new –

the 5 km Sprint!
A fast, fun, and spectator-friendly race for anyone who wants to experience the atmosphere and the joy of sled dog sports, without entering the main competition.

The Sprint takes place while the Åredraget teams are out on the trail – perfect for spectators, friends, family, or anyone curious to give it a try.
Start and finish are located at Checkpoint Ånn, where you’ll find great food, warm fires, and that classic Åredraget spirit!

Practical information

The race starts as soon as the Åredraget teams have left the checkpoint – around 11:00 AM.
You’ll make your own way from the parking area to the checkpoint, about 1 km (a perfect warm-up!).
Please give right of way to all competing dog teams during your visit.

Entry fee: 300 SEK
Feel free to bring your own lunch to grill over our fire barrels – coffee, tea, and juice will be available on site.
It’s a mass start, and more details will be published once registration closes.

Don’t forget a change of clothes and something warm for after the finish line!

 

 

Rules & Safety

  • Minimum dog age: 14 months

  • Junior mushers must be at least 13 years old, with a guardian present

  • Dogs must wear a pulling harness

  • No BGB hooks are allowed in the race area

  • Entry fee must be paid no later than February 25

  • Always give priority to the Åredraget race teams

Storlien Högfjällshotel

 

With the discount code Aredraget2026 all our participants and visitors receive a 10% discount on accommodation at the hotel.

By using this discount code, you also get the opportunity to book the banquet at the same time!

 

The hotel has around 20 dog rooms, so first come, first served applies to these.

Karolinergården

Only 2 km from the Checkpoint in Ånn is Karolinergården. Here there are rooms with self-catering and the possibility of a dog in the room.

There will be fixed times with scooter transport to and from KG to the checkpoint every day. It is also good to go for a walk or go skiing.

Apartment "Claes" 2 beds (+1) and sofa bed, mini kitchen. 750 SEK per night 

 

Space for caravans/electricity is available outside Karolinergården, this also needs to be booked!
