Additional equipment

The extra equipment can be taken to the checkpoint by the handler.

Below is an example based on a standard competition pack.

This is a suggestion for this type of trip, but you can, of course, pack everything you want.

To start

  • Front anchor

  • Starting line on the sled

The starting line and front anchor are to be able to smoothly start from the checkpoint. It will be trampled with scooters but not everywhere. It is daring to trust the anchorage if you have only pedaled with the scooter.

Food for Dog & Musher

  • Dog food

  • Ex. on the number of portions of dog food 6 pcs * 4 = 24 meals of food. Except for emergency rations.

  • Human food

  • Thursday: Breakfast and lunch

  • Friday: Lunch

  • Saturday: Ev. lunch

  • Fire and coal balls will be at the Checkpoint.

Good to have with you

  • Googles (sunglasses)

  • Sunscreen and Lip Balm

  • Toilet paper (outside available)

  • Dog blanket

  • First aid
