Food at the Checkpoint – Ånn Wheels brings magic to the forest

When darkness falls and headlamps light up the trail, the air at the checkpoint fills with the smell of something warm, smoky, and freshly made. That’s Ånn Wheels, setting up their outdoor kitchen right in the middle of the forest.

This is something truly unique to Åredraget. We were their very first event, and since then they’ve become an essential part of our team. From the first morning coffee to the late-night dinners under the stars, their food is five-star quality, and the atmosphere is unbeatable.

Ånn Wheels serves local food made with heart, ingredients from nearby, cooked with love, butter, smoke, and laughter. Mushers, volunteers, and visitors gather around their setup for breakfast, dinner, and that special sense of togetherness.

It’s hard to imagine Åredraget without the smell of their stew, the sound of chatter around the food tent, and their always cheerful crew.

We’re proud and grateful to have Ånn Wheels on the Åredraget team, and even happier that they’ll continue to be a permanent part of the event in the years to come.
